Long time no post and I apologize.
For almost the last year, I have been dealing with DevaCurl damage and I haven’t wanted to discuss it on my platform but I figured I should say something as my experiences may help someone else.
I first noticed the symptoms of deva damage when I began having multiple “bad hair days” in a row. Now like everyone else, I experience bad hair days, but with the tlc I give my hair, my “bad” hair days are never that BAD. My hair looked brittle and straw-like, almost like someone sucked the life out of my previously soft pillow-like coils. They now looked like I had no idea how to care for the hair I’ve spent years babying like a newborn child. At the time I was working a stressful job and was in the search of a new one, so my attention quickly shifted from my hair to “more important things”. But about a month later when I noticed my entire nape had broken off, I began to realize this was a bigger problem then I’d thought.
My hair that should’ve been mid-back length, was now barely grazing my shoulders. By this point, the news about DevaCurl came out and I had already thrown every trace of their products away. But the damage was done. I used DevaCurl very heavily in 2019 and the products that were suspected to be the contaminated were the ones I used the most. (Lucky me!)
I apologize if any of you took my recommendations and used DevaCurl. I do not recommend their products and suggest you all discontinue use if you have not already.
I will be revamping my growth journey and taking you guys along as I begin to repair and regrow my hair. I (My hair is already making a huge turnaround and I’m excited to share what I’ve been doing!) Am so sorry my dear, I dealt with something similar(was a product junkie and ruined my hair) but your hair will make it back, and do keep us updated, we fall but we rise always❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wow. This is a huge difference in health and length while using DevaCurl. I am a natural hair influencer and received an affiliation partnership with DevaCurl yet I have never used their products. The moment I planned to use them luckily I came across many women stating that their products were breaking their hair off. And this was coming from African American women and Caucasian women. I guess it’s time for me to do away with that partnership, I don’t want to recommend something to my subscribers and followers that will place harm to their hair that they’ve been growing for years.
